"I most likely have endometriosis and was googling for natural approaches to manage my pain and reconnect with my body when I ended up on here. I didn’t know anything about this technique, but I felt that I need to be there so I enrolled in the course.
It was a wonderful weekend.
After my last gynecologist appointment I was full of doubt and worry, but after the first day of the course, my mind was finally at ease. I learned a lot about my body, did relaxations, connected with my belly and with the lovely ladies and learned the abdominal therapy that I do each day ever since.
Since the group wasn’t that big Gloria was able to answer all our questions and she was able to tailor the course according to our interest. Each of us received a half an hour massage from her. Somehow it feels like an energy in me has turned. I think you did this through the massages. I cannot thank you enough. I finally have found some piece in myself. I feel normal again. My brain works normal. My senses work almost normal.
Since our last session, so many things have happened that I can hardly comprehend.

My daughter and I came across this technique during her last stay in Holland and we were instantly drawn to it. We read what we could, watched what we could and it really felt like it was for us. Reggie looking into shamanism and I interested in the well-being of women in general. Wondering if we would be so lucky to find anyone in our tiny country that would do this, we found Gloria. We called her and both went for abdominal massage four times. We were so excited and more than that it felt like coming home. I loved the way Gloria explained how the organs and skeletal structure worked in the abdomen, she really took her time. Not only for the explanation in our first meeting but also - with a nice cup of tea - before and after every massage. She has the amazing talent for creating a very trusting and relaxing atmosphere without ever judging anything she comes across. She is a good listener and a very warmhearted person. It is very easy to instantly love her for who she is. Being a highly sensitive person I usually do not like massages because I am then left with the other person's energy. But not at all so with Gloria. The prayer she does in Italian at the beginning of every session creates a beautiful high vibration always kept up by her intention and the music she chooses. The beauty about abdominal massage is that you go home after the first session knowing what to do yourself. So there is no dependency created with the massage therapist. To get to know your body in a new way is beautiful and I wish this for every woman that I know. In fact I have recommended Gloria to many of my friends, some went, for some the seed was planted.....besides the fact that she is a complete natural at healing and teaching....we need the abdominal massage in this part of the world where woman have been taught not to pay any attention to their womb and ovaries and touch is associated with sexuality. ...this ancient Mayan technique seems the perfect one for bringing out the Divine Feminine in all women. Your fingers become lines, lines of Love that paint paths that untangle my webs, they melt the clouds.
The ancient movement, now awaken, restart the chant: a sense of expansion, of and full emptiness, I am overwhelmed.
I get up from the massage table, I don't want to, I would like to stay there, a little more…. a little more.
I put my clothes on, with the joy of a kid, I realize that my womb doesn't have edges anymore: everything is open, everything is connected. I hug you and think with every cell of my body, that I have a sky now in my abdomen.

Some years ago, in fact many years ago, I found out I had fibroids growing in the wall of my uterus. Being in the Netherlands where people including doctors can be blunt the avenue that was offered to me at first was to get a hysterectomy. Now there is nothing wrong with a hysterectomy when it is needed, but there are ways to tell a woman in her mid-30’s without children. Moreover, it bothered me that not alternatives were given.
My life moved on, I didn’t really have a great deal of problems due to the fibroids so I chose to live with them and continued to see my acupuncturist and homeopath. In my early 40’s however, some side effects started to pop up; very heavy menses and the need to go to the ladies room often. My relationship with my uterus and cycle got confused; I no longer embraced it as I had in the past. I felt ‘heavy’ in the belly.
I continued my alternative therapies but also went to a new gynecologist who showed some humanity. Even though I was in my early 40’s she understood I was emotionally still very connected to my uterus. And she offered me different solutions.
Right around this time I met Gloria and we started abdominal therapy. We went on a little journey together, Gloria doing her amazing work whilst I was getting reconnected with my cycle and most importantly deeply connected to my uterus. This allowed me to release energy that was stuck in the uterus.
Like a good student I also did a great deal of self-massage at home, castor oil packs and saw a therapist to further release the emotions contained in the fibroids.
Since all this, I have been operated on, with a big vertical incision from belly botton to pubic bone and the fibroids have been removed. The doctors and nurses were to a certain extend surprised at my speedy recovery to date. They also were surprised at how little pain I have felt.
I think I know the secret though: ‘I was ready for the surgery’.
It has been a journey, and I am still on it. I plan to resume my sessions with Gloria once the wound has healed and continue to explore the deep connection I have developed with my uterus, as I am convinced this is key for my recovery and keeping myself tip top.
